Monday March 1

First full day but I didn't have to work because it was holiday (Holi, celebration of color) basically people smear themself with colored poweder and go around looking like zombies from some movie. very odd. You have to be careful that people don't through colors on you as you walk around. I put it as some weird version of mischief night. Didn't really do anything else. There is a breakfast buffet each morning that they will make you eggs (the do have sausage and bacon but it's real bad) they say they also do pancakes and waffles so they might be in my future. Lunch was a buffet too because of the holiday.. white rice and some form of chicken for me.. then it was chicken and mashed potatoes for dinner. Imagine almost all the eating will be here in the hotel at the same restaurant (there is absolutely nothing around here and downtown is a car ride so i won't be there alot.) Having a hard time sleeping.. got up at 4 am yesterday and got up at 3 am today (I feel like T.) Start with work today so hopefully i can get into some routine. I believe i got 2 nice photos yesterday, i'll see if i can upload them after work. That's all for now..

  1. Well it sounds like a very exciting first day, you should have taken part in the festivities I would of liked to see you in a picture of color.
I glad to hear that there is at least some food in the hotel that you can it and will not be wasting away to nothing on sunflower seeds.
Have a good day and stay safe.

  2. Bernie, I can't imagine what it's like to adjust to 10 1/2 hour time difference. It took me a week to adjust in Dublin and I even struggle when it's only three hours different.

By the way, How is it that they are 10 1/2 hours ahead of us???

I hope you like eggs. They are chicken eggs right?

    Good luck with the vendors.

  4. My research tells me that Holi is a celebration of love and joy that takes place 10 days before the full moon, and was originally to herald the coming of spring. Pratices that are normally shunned are allowed during Holi. Bern, don't get any ideas !! Enjoy !!
